Indoor Season 2007:
. . . . . Dates have been set! Since the time was so successful
this year, our slot is once again 12-2pm at Windy City Fieldhouse.
Please note however that there is a possibility that we'll
be bumped up by 1 hour on February 3. Becuase the season is
due to start on January 20, signups are due by January 1 (or
start your new years resolution early and get the applications
in now!). Fees are still slightly variable because it
depends on the number of players we have. We are currently
estimating around $100 for full members, and $75 for students.
Email Kamal (kmlelkhadiri@hotmail.com)
ASAP if you'd like to participate. Include your tshirt size
in the email so we can order the league shirts.
Applications can then be sent to him in the mail (address
to be provided when you send your intent to play).

Cinci 2007:
. . . . . Hot
off the press! The Centurions Field Hockey Club of Cincinnati
is proud to announce the return of the Midwest Indoor Field
Hockey Challenge Cup for it’s third consecutive year.
As with last year, the tournament will be limited to 8 teams.
There is a four game minimum guarantee – after the round-robin
stages each team will be placed into a knock-out qualifier
until the finalists are sort. The games will be seven-a-side
consisting of no more than three men outfield and a goalkeeper
of either gender. Those teams that were in attendance for
the 2006 tourney will be given priority for registration (everyone
else will be on a first come first served basis).
The 2007 competition is scheduled
to take place Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of February.
We have been able to maintain an entrance fee of $350 per
team (max. of ten players per team) - each player will receive
a commemorative t-shirt. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd
and 3rd Place teams, as well as Tourney MVP. Checks are to
be made payable to Cincinnati Centurions and must be received
by Friday, January 13th, 2007 (address can be found at the
bottom of this e-mail). Please confirm via e-mail ASAP whether
you are planning to attend or not (and how many teams) –
deadline for registration is Friday, January 6th, 2007. Accommodation
– we are currently in negotiations with a local hotel
to try and give you the best rates possible. We will send
all relevant information to you on receipt of confirmation
of attendance. Don’t forget the Saturday Night Social!
We’re looking into a suitable venue to host this event
and will let you know as soon as we have confirmation. Those
that have been involved in the past will tell you what an
enjoyable occasion this is. As with last year, the Centurions
would like to be the perfect hosts and offer you refreshments
and a few appetizers for the evening.
. . . . . Please submit your interest to the captains (mens-captain@chicagofhc.com,
ladies-captain@chicagofhc.com) ASAP and by January
1 at the latest if you are interested in going! This
is one of our social tournaments for the year, so it will
be first come, first served and if we have enough interest
for two teams they will be split evenly.

NAPL:
. . . . . Men - there is one spot remaining for a team at
the NAPL tournament in Downingtown, PA on January 13-14. We
need to assess very quickly if there's enough interest to
send a team. Please send Kamal a note if you're interested
by THIS SATURDAY December 23rd. Thanks!
Word from our ladies about this past weekend was that it
was a very competitive tournament with some great teams participating
- we ended up in 7th place (see the results below), and as
a result we can qualify for the second round if another team
decides not to come (which is likely). So, if you would like
to go, please send Theresa an email by THIS SUNDAY
December 24th. t's great to get CFHC in some of the
best tournaments in the country! GREAT job ladies!
