Hockey Bio: Theresa started playing hockey in middle school out of curiosity for the game, and it quickly became her favorite sport. She continued to play throughout high school in her small hometown in PA, but stopped playing while she pursued her undergraduate degree in Washington, DC (although as an athletic trainer at CUA, she lived vicariously through the field hockey team there). Upon arriving in Chicago for graduate school, she was looking for a way to be active and meet people outside of her program of study. A friend passed along the Chicago Field Hockey Club website in 2004, and she's been playing with us ever since. Theresa served the club as Ladies Captain for club between 2005 and 2007, and has spent time coaching and reffing in the IL high school programs.Academy.

CFHC Experience: When I started with CFHC, I was blown away with how welcoming and fun the team was. I am so appreciative to my teammates, who've taken the time to help me become a better player, and more importantly to my teammates that have made me a better person by becoming my good friends. Traveling to tournaments and hanging out after practices have been the most enjoyable aspects of the club -- it's fantastic how people of such different backgrounds, lifestyles and ages can all come together to play field hockey and get along so well as a group. It’s given me great pride and satisfaction to see the club grow and flourish, and I’m excited to see that continue as great friends and new faces make this the best group in Chicago to be a part of..
