Indoor League Week 3

Thanks to everyone who came out to practice on Sunday and showed Justine's team what field hockey looks like after a lot of practice. Her group from West Park Academy said they had a great time - thanks to Klaus for his coaching and for all of the great role models who came along up to help!

Another great session on Saturday. As the first set of games in the double round robin wraps up, Team Blue is in a strong position with Red Hot scoring plenty of goals but not finding themselves in the W column as often. The Green Frogs and Team Yellow are right in the thick of things and could turn the tables in a single good week. Tournaments:

Ladies National Indoor

Attention the dates and location for the National Indoor Tournament has changed. The tournament will now be held March 15-16 at the Winning Edge Sports Center in Oaks, PA. At this point it looks like it is only going to be a tournament for women only, so ladies if you are interested to go, please let Mags know as soon as possible, since the deadline for entries is February 1. • Feb 9th-10th - Cactus Classic. Arizona, 9-a-side (squads of 13)
• Feb 16th -17th - 4th Annual Midwest Challange Cup
• March 15th-16th - National Indoor Club Championships Ladies Division - Oak, PA
• March 22nd-23rd - Florida Fives - Miami, Fl - 5-a-side (squad of 8)
• April 11th-13th - 2008 USA Club Championship - Virginia Beach
• JFK 2008 17th-18th May Virginia Beach

4th Annual Midwest Indoor Challenge Cup.

Often referred to as the “Cinci Tournament", the 4th Annual Midwest Indoor Challenge Cup tends to serve as the kick off tournament of the CFHC season. We have always sent 2 teams and have a history of doing well at this tournament.

Chicago FHC covered in TimeOut Chicago Magazine

Chicago Field Hockey Club makes it in TimeOut Chicago Magazine! Pick up a copy and check out the sports section. The Sport Editor of TimeOut Chicago came to our first indoor session at Windy City Field House and greatly enjoyed watching us play field hockey and was amazed by how international and friendly our club was. He has written a great article. Please pick-up a copy of TimeOut-Chicago at a bookstore near you this weekend.
