Cinci 2007:

. . . . .Note from Degsy:
All For those of you that will be in town on the Friday night, please make note of the following: We'll be meeting in ARNIE'S ON THE LEVEE (120 East Third St., Newport, KY 41017 - not far from the hotel) from 8pm. They sell food and "refreshments" there for those interested. After which, probably a while later (10:30pm-ish), we'll head to Jeff Ruby's TROPICANA'S for 80's night! (this is just across the road from Arnie'w and on the way back to the hotel) I'll have my phone with me but no guarantees of hearing a thing! (786) 210-9914. The rest of you . . . I shall see you on Saturday at 9:30am!
We are all ready to go! For all the information on the trip, click the link below.

Rocky Mountain Invitational Field Hockey Denver, March 24 -25

. . . . . So the response has been very positive for this tournament, we have 19 people interested to this point, including a certain German we all hold dear to our hearts!
However if it seemed like holding a three division tournament 6 weeks after notifying teams was ambitious, well word is coming through that they are confident of filling the mixed division, hopeful of filling the ladies and the chances of there being a men's division is now being described as 'remote'.
Applications have to be in by March 1st and our plan is to make a call on what type of team(s) to send by February 24th, it may be that we can send a ladies team and co-ed team with some of the ladies playing in both divisions. A note on airfares, I saw a huge range of prices available depending on when you fly. Friday evening to Sunday evening seemed cheapest on Southwest at $300 (keep in mind with Southwest you can book and if you decide to not go, they keep the $300 in your account to be used within 1 year). The best prices I saw would be leaving Thursday evening ($170), might be an idea to see some of Denver. We won't be group booking due to the close proximity of the trip.
If you are one of the first 15, you may want to book at this point as it seems likely that we will at least be sending a co-ed team although even that can't be 100% confirmed just yet. The 15 are (based on the order emails were received):
Justine Rico Betsy Mags Gaby Ana Moe Jo Lauren Jay Simon Theresa Shayan Bram Kamal

Itisha and Motorola

. . . . . Itisha is arranging a hockey game for Motorola employees in Libertyville from 3.30pm-4.30pm on Friday February 23rd and is looking for support from the club in terms of equipment and representatives to explain field hockey. Motorola would rent up to 30 sticks and the money would go to the club. They also need 3 or 4 people to go along and talk about field hockey, plug the club and generally help out officating the game. We think that Motorola is the type of organization that could potentially benefit the club in the future in terms of providing members and/or possible sponsorship, so if you'd like to help spread the word about the game we love, please reply and we can coordinate how you can help out on the 23rd.

Board Meeting 2.10

. . . . . The board met on Feb 10th before Indoor, the minutes of the meeting are available here
