2007 Subscriptions are due!!
. . . . . As Simon pointed out last week, to guarantee that we all insured by the USFHA
when we play hockey, we all need to be fully paid up members of the club for 2007. For those going to JFK,
club membership and USFHA membership is needed to partake in the tournament. We would also like for Shayan to be able to concentrate
on saving goals in Virginia Beach instead of chasing people down for money, so please get your dues to him asap. The cost is the same as last year, $100 for the year and $50 for students.

Outdoor Update
. . . . . Scrimmage is 7pm-9pm this FRIDAY NIGHT at Northwestern University (pitch is being used for a university event on Saturday). Everyone is welcome, we
especially encourage those folks going to JFK to come along for the last chance to work on tactics etc...

Chicago Cup Update
.......As those who were at scrimmage last Saturday heard from Simon, there will be no Chicago Cup for 2007. Northwestern University were unable
to provide a contract for the pitch, due to planned construction in the vicinity of the pitch. The Oak Park option was not viable because of costs both of the facility and
general airfare/hotel costs in Chicago on the first weekend of July (the only weekend the facility was available).
The good news is Northwestern University has encouraged us to start planning our tournament for 2008
and are very supportive of the idea to hold a tournament next Spring.

Shahid at National Championships
.......Congrats to Shahid for reaching the USFHA National Championship final with the Mid-Atlantic team in Chula Vista, CA last weekend.
Mid-Atlantic beat San Francisco (5-0) and New York (5-0) on their way to being beaten in the final by a very good Moorpark team (2-6).
It's a great thrill to have a CFHC player representing the club at that level and we look forward to more of our players competing with the best in the country in the years to come.
