Outdoor Update
. . . . . The pitch is being used by the university this Saturday May 26th. It may be possible to play on Sunday or alternatively Monday depending
on what suits people's plans. Please go to the Website Forum and we'll start a thread as to when it might suit people to play. The pitch is definitely busy on
Saturday for NU Dilo Day, but that should all be done by Sunday. There may potentially still be tents on the field, but they can be played around as before.

JFK Summary
.......Both the Mens and Ladies teams had mixed fortunes at the JFK tournament in Virginia Beach last weekend.
The Men tied the 5th/6th place playoff game with the DC Dragons 4-4. Saturday's group games saw us beat Atlanta 1-0 in the opening game,
before going down 3-0 to Rye and 3-1 to the NY Islanders. A comfortable 6-1 win against a depleted Bermuda team set up the 5th/6th playoff against DC Dragons.
The team were not as sharp as the New York teams who have been competing in their
weekly league since March. The feeling was that with more preperation and all players being available the semi-finals would have been an
attainable goal. The Mens division was won by the Toronto Lions, who went undeafeated throughout the tournament.
The fact that the Ladies didn't win and failed to score in their 4 games, doesn't even begin to do their performances justice. Drawn in
much the tougher of the two groups, they lost 1-0 to eventual finalists Malvern and could easily have been a goal up after 30mins on other finalists Ohio State.
Once again competing against teams who are playing more consistently and had better match fitness meant that the second half of their games especially were
very tough. They finished up losing 1-0 to Malvern, 3-0 to Ohio State and 2-0 to Miami before going down 2-0 to Team Philly in the playoffs.
It was great experience to play in a tournament of this level and I think everyone can learn a lot about what it takes to compete at the higher grade. The fact
that we are competitive with the east coast teams is a sign of just how far we have come in recent years. Well done to all!
The Tournament Page will be updated shortly. Check here in the coming days for full results, photos etc...
