Outdoor Schedule Update

. . . . . Midweek practice at Northwestern University continues tomorrow night (Wednesday 13th) at the revised time of 8pm - 10pm. Midweek practice is a great way to improve your skills as we tend to concentrate more on training drills and skills development than purely scrimmaging. All are welcome. The pitch is busy from 6pm - 8pm, so we are going with this 8pm - 10pm time slot instead.
Outdoor scrimmages continue on Saturday next June 16th at 2pm in Northwestern University.

Upcoming Tournaments Update

Boston Challenger Cup
We've been invited to partake in the 2007 Boston Challenger Cup. The tournament takes place at MIT's astroturf field in Boston on July 28th and 29th and is organized by the Minutemen Field Hockey Club of Boston.
There will be two seperate divisions, Men's and Ladies. Initial estimates on cost would look something like:
Flights: $200-$240 (quick Orbitz check)
Hotel: $40/night (4 people sharing)
Tourney Fees: $60 per person ($900/16 - if we fill our rosters)
Transport in Boston: $30 (based on previous tournaments).
The initial response to this tournament has been poor, so if you are interested in travelling please let us know asap and we can see if we have enough players. This is deemed a social tournament for the club so squads are determined on a first come first served basis and everything will be done to ensure equal playing time for all players who travel. Our Application needs to be in by June 25th.
Currently the Rosters of those interested are as follows:
Men:
Steve
Julio
Tanvir
Jay

Atlanta Cup!!
Our Mens and Ladies squads have been invited to defend their titles at this year's Atlanta Cup International Field Hockey Tournament in Atlanta on Oct 6th and 7th. As those who have attended in the past will tell you, this is an excellent tournament, well organized with plenty of good teams. We are hoping to send strong mens and ladies squads this year to defend the titles we won in Atlanta last October.
If you would like to make yourself available for this tournament (which is deemed as a competitive tournament for the club) please reply to this email and let me know. Thanks!
