Please join or update your USFHC membership, if you haven't already done so for this year. A lot of the tournaments that we participate in, including our own Chicago Cup require current USFHA membership. If you think that yours has expired or that you don't have one, please go online to www.usfieldhockey.com and either join or update your membership. Make sure to forward your confirmation to our Financial & Membership Chair Joshua Cooper at financial-chair@chicagofhc.com
Also please try and bring your annual dues for the season, so Josh can make sure everyone is current. Also it is very important that you find the time complete one of our club waivers and return it to Josh.

Chicago Cup 08 proved to be a great success thanks to some very competitive and yet great spirited hockey. Thanks to all our members for helping make the tournement run so smoothly. The tournament website has been updated with all the scores and standings and a tournament write up and a few pics will follow shortly.
Philaronto dispite an unfortunate set back (Philly ladies not making it) played some fantastic hockey and went onto to finish as Champions. Both our Chicago teams put in a great effort finishing 2nd and 3rd.

And ofcourse Sanjay for donating all the tournament balls. Cran Barry & Longstreth for each donating a composite field hockey stick as prizes. The tournament refs: David Jeffries, Clayton Remedios, Jes Kuruvilla, Moritz Otte, Greg Best, David Allen & Simon Allen.

Hi everybody!!
Just in case you didn't know, the 2008 Men Champion's Trophy is taking place these days in Rotterdam, a city located in some European country whose name I cannot remember, but it's somewhere between Belgium and Germany.
I found a web site where you can apparently watch some of the games LIVE. I never had the chance to actually test this feature but it seems it works!! I'll try it tomorrow.
The site is http://www.worldhockey.tv/ . You also have links to watch the replays of previous games.
And remember if you want to see good hockey this Tuesday at 19:35 Rotterdam time (around 12:35 PM central time) Agentina plays against the Netherlands.
And before you ask, NO, Arno is not playing. He is still recovering from his stiches..
I hope you find this information useful.
Thanks!!
Julian
