CFHC Six-on-Six Mixer!!!
. . . . . On Sunday, Sept 16, we welcome all hockey players in Chicago
to come participate in the CFHC six-on-six mixer. This is for all of our members and anyone who’s considering
joining (if you’ve been contemplating coming to a practice to check out the club all summer, this is the time!!).
Games will be 6-a side (depending on numbers), played across the field. Teams will be assigned completely at
random, based on the order in which you RSVP. This is very much a social tourney to give everyone a chance to play some hockey and
hang out for an afternoon. There is a Northwestern ladies game against American University
beginning at 2 pm. We will gather then to cheer them onto a victory, and will start our games when they are finished.
After the CFHC mini-tourney, we’ll head south to the lakefront for a BBQ, play ultimate/volleyball, or any other
games you’d like to bring along. In the case of bad weather, we’ll go to Nevin’s. More details will be posted
shortly regarding timing of the game, map of the BBQ, etc. Please RSVP to t-sukal@northwestern.edu to be placed
on a team, and we’ll let you know what color shirt to wear that day. Walk-ups are welcome, but it will help us a
lot with planning if you reply if you are intending to come. Hope you can make it!!

CFHC Mixed 5 - 1 Northwestern University
Well done to all who took part in the game with Northwestern University last Saturday afternoon.
It was great to be able to assist NU in their preperations for the new season. The final scoreline of 5-1
to CFHC flattered us a little, considering it was a keenly contested game that could easily have been level at half-time.
Laura opened the scoring for CFHC with a neat finish at the back post, two goals from Steve gave CFHC a hard fought 3-1 lead at half time.
The second half saw Derrek get a brace to ensure CFHC ran out 5-1 winners. Thanks so much to Kelly and NU for asking us to help them
in their pre-season preperation and to the officials, Gwyn and David and all who helped out on the day.
